"Limonello" is the Sardinian translation of Limoncello. 1.1 kg of whole lemons per liter are used, compared to an average of 250g of zest per liter for other limoncellos.
The lemons used come exclusively from the estate's orchards. Particularly rich in essential oil, they are harvested at dawn, then washed and steeped whole in superfine alcohol, unlike most Limonellos, which are only infused with the fruit's zest. Approximately 1.1 kg of lemon per liter of alcohol is steeped for 30 days.
