Plantation Pineapple - 0.7L - 2024 - La Maison du Whisky

Plantation Pineapple is a rum whose production process is quite singular.
A faithful reminiscence of the 'Pineapple Delicacy' dear to Victorians, this rum was born thanks to extensive research carried out in close collaboration with historian David Wondrich.
The Victoria pineapples are meticulously selected, then hand-peeled, and the fruit peels are then infused for a week in Plantation 3 Stars rum. Once this infusion is complete, distillation begins. During this new operation, the pineapple flesh is in turn infused in Plantation Original Dark rum, this time for many months.
At the end of these different stages, the blending of the obtained distillate and the infusion results in this delicious Plantation Pineapple. Given the seasonality of Victoria pineapples, this bottle is among the very limited editions. A decidedly gourmet and fruity rum!
Nose
This nose is as generous in aromas as a freshly picked fruit... Fruity notes of Victoria pineapple and peach mingle with the sweetness of marzipan, the creaminess of vanilla and the singularity of geranium scents that delicately sign this olfactory palette.
Palate
The palate is delicate but well-structured. Flavors of baked apples mingle with those of clove. Smoky notes caress honey notes, warmly supported by a generous bouquet of spices.
Finish
The finish is long and reaffirms its deliciousness... Notes of caramel, nutmeg, and almond meet those of pineapple and citrus.
